There are several different rivers that you can float in Western Alaska. Depending on the length of the river and your experience on a raft… we’re happy to help you choose which one is best for you and your needs.
The ultimate way to unwind and tap into the wilderness. Living on the river banks along one of Western Alaska’s Beautiful Rivers. Enjoy the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge and some of the most pristine land around.
ExperienceAK and Float Alaska
Kanektok river
Flowing approximately 100 miles from Pegati Lake to the coastal town of Quinhagak on the Berring Sea. The Kanektok is an easy float and offers fantastic fishing.

Kisaralik river
The Kisaralik is approximately 100 miles long running from Kisaralik Lake heading back towards Bethel. This is not a float for the novice rafter.
min 7-8 days
Arolik River
The Arolik is a fantastic trout fishery running through the Eek Mountains roughly 45 miles from Lake Arolik down towards the Coastal town of Quinhagak.
min 5-6 days
Goodnews River
The perfect river for a first timer or less experience rafter, the Goodnews River runs roughly 60 miles down the Goodnews Valley towards Goodnews Bay.
min 6-7 days
Planning is key for these trips. ExperienceAK will help coordinate drop-offs and pick-ups and ensure you have the right gear and expectations. The minimum days for each river is not a recommendation of overall trip duration. Many opt to spend extra time on the River to relax, hike and explore, and just unwind in the wilderness.
